Executive Summary
In this speech I have written few words about the changes that came in the life of students in corona period and how CBSE changes it’s Education system.
Covid and Indian Education System
Respected Principal, Teachers ! Today I have written few words on “Covid and Indian education system”.
The period before March 2020 and after March 2020 had a large difference. Earlier all of us students were free to move anywhere, free to read in library, free to play and free to do anything within limits without any restrictions. But after it we all were locked in Lockdown, No one knows when we will be free from all this but still there was a hope that soon lockdown will be open and all friends will come together.
A disease which is become harm for all the world 'Covid-19' was spread in most countries in 2019, though in India it came in 2020 mainly in March, when it arises a GOI has put Lockdown in the country for our safety, restricting everyone not to go outside their home. Student mainly from class 8th to 12th were studying regularly for the exams, not for physical but for online exams. We students remember the time when we study together play and do many more things. The students were full of tension that how they will study in online mode, how they will ask their queries, how they will interact with teachers individually but this time has taught us all. The teachers students and all of us were in tension that how will study. There were interruptions in our study like sometimes our network gone, sometimes video get close all the things go still but we have to study. Schools and colleges were using higher technology for their classes. Students were getting attracted to their phone or distraction the studies.
We can consider covid as a big power, as it has changed our most of the Indian education system like CBSE (Central board of secondary education), has never reduced syllabus but for this time in Covid it has decreased 30% syllabus for classes 9th to 12th.
This decision was taken just not to feel load on students. This situation have forced CBSE to focus on student's practical work not only on theory for this they have divided the education system into 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 these are school standard groups. Moreover in January 2021 CBSE as announced to conduct boards in my 2021, but due to rise in chronic cases and also demand from country to country exams. CBSE decided to cancel class 10th exams and 12th exams to be postponed. Now, class 10th will be given marks on internal assessment like project and UT marks.
So, by this we came to know that there is no fixed time for the problem to come, we have to be ready for it before so that at the time we can’t lose our confidence and take decisions properly.
Thank You
