Gurudwara : Sikh's Holy place

 GURUDWARA

In India, there are many gurudwaras all over the country. Gurudwara is the temple or the place where sikhs worship their god. Each gurdwara has a Darbar Sahib where the current and everlasting guru of the Sikhs, the scripture Guru Granth Sahib, is placed on a takhat in a prominent central position.

According to me, from my experience we can also say gurudwara as a place of piece('shanti').When i came here for the first time for me it was an amazing experience as here there was a lot of piece all around. Here a Granthi reads 'Guru Granth Sahib'(religious book of sikhs) and people do their chanting.

Here there are many people or volunteers who do Langar (Bhandara) on regular basis providing food to all people irrespective of anything, we can also find here different types of facilities like medical, rest room etc.

As we can all the people in photo are wearing something on their head it is a piece of cloth like handkerchief or Bandana as covering the head is respectful in Sikhism.
